This calculator didn’t need any action. Fortunately, because most parts cannot be reached from the outside. Furthermore only very few screws are used;  most of the parts are punched together.

While most mechanical calculators needed regular maintenance, it seems that this Contex wasn’t one of them. There is no obvious way it can be cleaned or oiled.
